American Peptides Review (2026): COAs, Labs & Is It Legit?

American Peptides is a Shreveport, LA vendor whose domain dates from February 2026. It publishes 126 lot-matched COAs with a lot lookup and names Bioviridian as its testing lab on the homepage, but the COA pages don't show the lab and there's no independent data yet. Some bundle and strip names use health-style language, which costs it points on labeling.

✓Good for

  • A lot-number lookup tool and 126 lot-matched certificates on file, per its verify page
  • Names a testing lab on its homepage: Bioviridian (College Station, TX), which runs its own public COA search
  • Publishes its legal entity (American Peptides LLC), city (Shreveport, LA), phone number and payment methods

!Watch out for

  • Young business: the domain was registered in February 2026, and Finnrick lists no independent tests
  • Its COA page and lookup tool don't name the lab, and we couldn't read the lab name on the PDFs we opened
  • Health-style product naming, such as an 'ASCEND Bundle - Metabolic + Glow Up Research Stack' and 'Brain-Fuel' dissolving strips

American Peptides looks like a real, operating US business: American Peptides LLC in Shreveport, LA, with public lot-matched COAs and no FDA warning letter on record as of September 26, 2026. It's also very new, with a domain registered in February 2026, and has no independent test data yet. Its overall score is 9.1/10; on our transparency method alone it scores 7.6/10. It sits at #1 on our list as our editors' pick, not because it has the highest transparency score. Peptide Plugs and NextGenPeps score higher on transparency.

Notice: American Peptides' products are sold for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not FDA-approved and not for human or animal consumption. This review covers supplier transparency only. We didn't buy or test any products.

American Peptides at a glance

  • Operating status: Live storefront at americanpeptides.us, checked September 26, 2026.
  • Entity and location: American Peptides LLC, governed by Louisiana law, with a Shreveport, LA location and phone number (terms). No street address is published.
  • Business age: The domain was registered on February 21, 2026 (WHOIS).
  • Catalog: 76 items across 9 categories, including research peptides, blends, bioregulators, bundles, liquid sprays and dissolving strips (homepage).
  • FDA record: No warning letter found in the FDA database.

American Peptides COA: what's published

This is the vendor's strongest area.

  • Lot-matched certificates. The COA page lists products with several lot numbers each (for example, lots coded like "RETA10-0803") and links a PDF for each lot. Older lots are marked "superseded" but stay available.
  • Lot lookup. A verify page lets you enter the lot number from a vial and pull up its certificate. It said 126 lot-matched certificates were on file when we checked.
  • Tests claimed. The homepage claims HPLC and mass-spec purity (≥99%), plus sterility (USP 71), endotoxin (USP 85) and heavy-metals testing.

The gap is the lab. The homepage says "Every batch verified by Bioviridian," but the COA page and the lookup tool don't name a lab. Two COA PDFs we opened weren't machine-readable, so we couldn't confirm the lab name on the certificates. The lookup runs on the vendor's own site, so it proves traceability, not independence.

Bioviridian publishes a street address in College Station, TX, and runs its own COA search. A lab directory lists its ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation as "in progress" (Peptigrity). If you rely on a certificate, check it against Bioviridian's own search. Our COA guide explains how.

Independent testing

Finnrick has a profile for American Peptides with 0 tests and no rating as of September 26, 2026. No community data exists yet to check the vendor's certificates against. See Janoshik vs Finnrick for why that matters.

Labeling: disclaimers vs product names

The site's disclaimers are strict. Its terms require buyers to be 21+ and to attest to in-vitro research use, and product pages state the items aren't drugs, foods, supplements or cosmetics.

Some product names and descriptions point the other way:

  • The ASCEND Bundle is titled "Metabolic + Glow Up Research Stack," and its description targets "fat metabolism, skin rejuvenation, and melanogenesis pathways." It bundles a GLP-1-class compound (retatrutide) with GHK-Cu and Melanotan-1.
  • A dissolving-strip product is sold as "Melts™ Brain-Fuel," and the catalog has a separate "Liquid Sprays" category.

These formats and names read like consumer products. FDA has said a research-use label doesn't protect a seller whose marketing points to human use (background). The catalog also includes GLP-1-class compounds.

Pricing and coupon code

Prices run from about $40 to $315 per item, and BPC-157 starts at $60 (catalog). The site offers 20% off a first order for email sign-up and 20% off year-round for active military and first responders. We found no public coupon code we could verify, so we don't list one.

Shipping, payment and returns

  • Shipping: Processing takes 24-48 business hours, and orders over $300 ship free. The site also offers international shipping (policy).
  • Payment: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, ACH/wire and cryptocurrency, per the terms.
  • Returns: All sales are final. Damaged or incorrect items must be reported within 72 hours of delivery with photos for a replacement.

Alternatives

  • Peptide Plugs (7.5/10): Freedom Diagnostics COAs with accession codes you can check at the lab.
  • NextGenPeps (8.8/10): names both labs, Janoshik and BioRegen, on its own site. Compare them in American Peptides vs NextGenPeps.
  • Alpha Pro Peptides (6.3/10): shows a lot ID, date, purity and net content for each certificate.
  • Ascension Peptides (8.1/10): an 85-record COA library searchable by lot; lab named only by independent reviewers.
  • Swiss Chems (6.5/10): has operated since 2018 and has Finnrick data, but also an FDA warning letter.
  • PSPeptides (8.5/10): large catalog, but its blog publishes dosing guides.

Verdict

American Peptides scores 9.1/10. Its lot lookup and named lab are real strengths for a vendor this young. The missing lab name on its certificates, the lack of any independent data and its health-style product names hold it back. New Finnrick results and lab names printed on each COA would move its score most.

If you evaluate it for laboratory work, look up your exact lot and confirm the certificate with Bioviridian directly. Visit American Peptides to see its COA lookup.
