All seven vendors we compared in September list Epitalon (some spell it Epithalon), and Peptide Plugs and PSPeptides document it best: Peptide Plugs gives a Freedom Diagnostics accession code you can check at the lab, and PSPeptides posts an August 2026 certificate plus endotoxin, sterility and heavy metals reports. Alpha Pro Peptides also names its lab and lot. No vendor has independent Finnrick data for Epitalon.
Notice: Research peptides are sold for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not FDA-approved, not for human or animal consumption, and this page is not medical advice.
Our criterion: an Epitalon-specific COA with a named lab and lot number beats a generic "third-party tested" claim. We don't test products; we check what each vendor publishes.
Regulatory status of Epitalon
- FDA: Epitalon isn't an approved drug. FDA's Category 2 compounding page (content current as of April 22, 2026) lists it among nominations "withdrawn by the nominators," noting it "may pose risk for immunogenicity for certain routes of administration."
- July 2026 advisory vote: FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee voted 7 yes, 4 no, 1 abstaining to recommend Epitalon for the 503A bulks list (RAPS; Restore Health Consulting). It's non-binding and covers licensed pharmacy compounding, not research-use sales. We found no FDA decision as of September 26, 2026.
- WADA: the 2026 Prohibited List doesn't name Epitalon (2026 list text). Its S0 section prohibits substances "with no current approval by any governmental regulatory health authority for human therapeutic use."
- DEA: not on DEA's controlled substances list dated August 27, 2026.

Notes on the table:
- American Peptides: the product page lists one 10 mg size as "Epithalon." Its COA page shows lot EPIT10-0803 and a superseded lot, with no lab or purity shown.
- NextGenPeps: the product page showed $34, down from $42. The only COA library entry is from January 2026.
- PSPeptides: the product page showed a $59.99-$129.99 range across 10 and 50 mg, and we couldn't confirm the price of each size. The 10 mg certificate reports 99.90% purity and 10.20 mg measured, by HPLC with mass spectrometry. The 50 mg size has its own August batch reports.
- Ascension Peptides: the product page links a Kovera Labs certificate (checked September 26, 2026). Regular price is $69.99.
- Peptide Plugs: the product page shows accession code Pept2604100045, 99.74% purity and 10.57 mg measured. That matches an April test; its COA page lists newer August 2026 tests (latest August 22: 99.73%, 11.05 mg). The $24 advertised price is for 10 or more vials.
- Swiss Chems: the product page showed a sale price and an out-of-stock notice for the selected option. We found no Epitalon report on its test results page.
- Alpha Pro Peptides: the 10 mg certificate is from Freedom Diagnostics: 99.68% purity by LC-MS, 10.25 mg measured. Its testing page had no 50 mg Epitalon certificate.
- Licensed Peptides (added to our list September 28, 2026; not in the table): we couldn't confirm whether it stocks Epitalon, because its full catalog and prices require a free account (research access, checked September 28, 2026). Review
What is Epitalon?
Epitalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, described in PubMed-indexed work as a synthetic pineal tetrapeptide. A 2025 review summarizes the research, which is mostly cell, fruit fly and rodent studies on aging biology. That research doesn't establish effects in people.
How to check an Epitalon COA
- Match the lot and the size. Alpha Pro and PSPeptides both sell 50 mg vials; only PSPeptides posted a 50 mg certificate.
- Check the sequence or identity result. Both spellings refer to the same compound, and mass spectrometry should confirm it.
- Use the newest certificate. Peptide Plugs' product page shows an older test than its COA page.
- Compare measured content to the label before any concentration math.

Independent test data
None of the seven vendors we compared had independent Finnrick results for Epitalon on September 26, 2026. Licensed Peptides, which we added on September 28, 2026, has no Finnrick profile. Finnrick lists ten tests for Swiss Chems, covering BPC-157, ipamorelin and CJC-1295 only, and the other six vendors we compared have no Finnrick tests. Every certificate above was commissioned by the vendor, which chooses the sample it sends. More on community testing: what is Finnrick?

Bottom line
For Epitalon, Peptide Plugs and PSPeptides have the most complete documentation, though PSPeptides' blog publishes human dosing guides, which we count against it. Alpha Pro Peptides has the lowest labeled price per mg on its 50 mg vial, but no 50 mg certificate. NextGenPeps' only certificate is from January 2026, American Peptides doesn't show the lab, and Swiss Chems posts no Epitalon report.
