FAQ

About this directory

How is the vendor score calculated?

The same formula for every vendor outside our editors' top 10: testing evidence 50% (COAs published, matched to lot numbers, lab named, endotoxin and sterility testing), independent data 20% (Finnrick tests and rating), transparency 20% (address or company named, shipping and refund terms, card payments) and track record 10%. Each red flag, such as human dosing guides or an FDA warning letter, costs a point.

Why are some vendors ranked and others not?

Our top 10 is an editors' list based on a deeper review of each vendor. Every other vendor here was checked against the same public evidence and scored with the formula above, so you can compare them.

Do vendors pay to be listed?

No. Some vendors pay us a commission when you buy through our links, which is disclosed on every page. Being a partner never changes a score or a price ranking.

How do you find vendors?

From independent test data (Finnrick), reader requests, search demand and other vendor lists. We only list stores we could open and that were taking orders when we checked.
