Umbrella Labs is an operating vendor, but it carries more red flags than most. As of October 7, 2026, umbrellalabs.is is live, lists a Tucson, Arizona address and posts COAs from two named labs, but the business received an FDA warning letter in 2021, has no independent tests on Finnrick and holds a polarized 3.0 on Trustpilot. It also has a no-refund policy and no lot numbers on its COA page.
Notice: Umbrella Labs' products are sold for laboratory research only. They are not FDA-approved and not for human or animal consumption. This review covers supplier transparency only. We didn't buy or test any products, and we have no affiliate relationship with Umbrella Labs.
Umbrella Labs at a glance
- Website: umbrellalabs.is, live with a sitewide sale when checked on October 7, 2026. The ".is" domain is Icelandic, but the business operates from the US.
- Address and phone: 3280 E Hemisphere Loop #190, Tucson, AZ 85706; 1-855-471-8544; Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Pacific (contact page). No legal entity name appears on the site.
- Catalog: peptides (vials, capsules, nasal sprays, blends and a GLP category), SARMs, nootropics, research chemicals, amino acids and lab supplies (umbrellalabs.is). It is one of the few vendors still selling SARMs and peptides side by side.
- Shipping: US only (contact page). Orders generally ship within 24-48 hours by USPS Priority Mail, tracked and insured (FAQ).
- Track record: its COA page lists BPC-157 certificates going back to April 2020, and FDA's 2021 letter already cites umbrellalabs.is, so it has operated for at least five years.
The 2021 FDA warning letter
On May 18, 2021, FDA sent a warning letter to a firm named "Umbrella" at the same Tucson address, 3280 E. Hemisphere Loop, Suite 190. The letter lists umbrellalabs.is among the firm's websites and an Instagram account named "umbrella_labs_research."
What FDA cited:
- SARMs (cardarine, ostarine, MK-677, RAD-140 and S-4) as unapproved new drugs. FDA wrote that "RESEARCH USE ONLY" labeling did not change its view that the products were intended for human use.
- Alpha Male Plus, which FDA's own lab testing found contained undeclared tadalafil.
- Kratom, tianeptine and NACET, the last one marketed with COVID-19 claims.
The letter is five years old and didn't cover peptides. We found no newer FDA letter naming Umbrella Labs in FDA's warning letter database. But the same business still sells SARMs today, and FDA has since sent a wave of 2026 warning letters to peptide sellers. Among the vendors we list, Swiss Chems also has an FDA letter on record (December 2024).
Umbrella Labs COAs: what's published
Umbrella Labs has a peptide COA page with a headline certificate for each product and a table of older certificates. When checked on October 7, 2026:
- Named labs: certificates name MZ Biolabs and Vanguard Laboratory. Recent ones (2025-2026) are mostly from Vanguard. Vanguard is also used by Licensed Peptides and Peptidology; MZ Biolabs by Ascension Peptides.
- Dates: headline certificates are recent for many products (for example CJC-1295 with DAC dated September 28, 2026 and epitalon September 15, 2026). Others are old: Adipotide's headline COA is from June 2023 and ACE-031's from March 2023.
- No lot numbers on the listing. You can't match a certificate to the vial you receive from this page alone.
- Some inconsistencies: one ACE-167 file name shows 2025 while the page shows 2026, and Gepon's headline date doesn't match its newest listed certificate.
The site's quality page also claims in-house HPLC and LC/GC-MS testing "in a CLIA environment" and third-party validation by chemists credentialed by the NCCCCE, without naming who they are. Those are the vendor's own claims. See how to read a peptide COA and our COA checklist.
Independent testing: Finnrick results
Finnrick has a page for Umbrella Labs but no published tests as of October 7, 2026, so it has no rating. That means there's no independent data to check the vendor's certificates against. For comparison, Peptidology has 18 Finnrick tests and Polaris Peptides more than 100 (what is Finnrick).
Shipping, payment and returns
- Payment: personal debit cards (not business cards), same-day bank payment, a linked US bank account through Plaid (5% off) and Bitcoin via BTCPay (payment options).
- Shipping guarantee: a one-time, no-cost replacement for lost or damaged shipments, but only if you checked out with an account (payment options).
- Refunds: "We DO NOT provide refunds" (FAQ). That's stricter than most vendors on our list.
Umbrella Labs reviews and complaints: Trustpilot and Reddit
Trustpilot shows 3.0 out of 5 from 235 reviews (61 in the last 12 months) as of October 7, 2026. The split is sharp: 63% five-star and 25% one-star. The profile is claimed, but Trustpilot flags that the company hasn't replied to negative reviews.
Recurring themes in the reviews:
- Positive: packaging, prices, catalog breadth and helpful individual staff.
- Negative: slow or no replies by email and phone, stalled tracking, wrong or incomplete orders, cracked or empty vials, billing errors and declined refunds. One-star reviews on August 17, August 28 and September 22, 2026 describe these problems.
Peptide Protocol Wiki (last verified February 2026) also lists "some reports of undelivered orders" and says card charges appear under a different descriptor. We didn't find Reddit threads we could open and verify, so we don't summarize Reddit opinion here.
Is Umbrella Labs legit? Our scam check
Umbrella Labs is a real, long-running business, not a fly-by-night site. But its regulatory history, lack of independent testing and service complaints put it below the vendors we list.

Alternatives we list
Umbrella Labs isn't on our ranked list, and we have no partnership with it. If you want named-lab COAs with lot matching and no FDA history, compare these:
- Licensed Peptides (7.4): uses Vanguard Laboratory too, indexes COAs by lot and publishes a Boca Raton, FL address. Our code Affiliate5 takes 5% off (coupon); we may earn a commission.

- Peptide Plugs (7.5): 117 Freedom Diagnostics COAs with verification codes you can check at the lab.
- Ascension Peptides (8.1): an 85-record COA library searchable by lot, with MZ Biolabs among the named labs. Our code AFFILIATE50OFF takes 50% off a first order (coupon); we may earn a commission.

None of these three has Finnrick results yet either, so weigh their certificates accordingly. See the full best peptide vendors list and current peptide coupon codes.
Verdict
Umbrella Labs has lasted longer than many vendors and names its labs, which counts for something. Against that: a 2021 FDA warning letter at the same address, SARMs still on sale, no lot numbers on its COA listing, no independent Finnrick data, a no-refund policy and a Trustpilot record split between five stars and one. If you're comparing vendors on documentation, the ones above give you more to check.
