Royal Peptides hasn't shut down: FDA sent it a warning letter dated August 24, 2026, but its store was still live on October 22, 2026, advertising 20% off GLP-class products. If the letter has you looking elsewhere, Peptide Plugs (7.5) and NextGenPeps (8.8) document their testing most clearly of the vendors we review. None of the eight below has Royal's level of independent Finnrick data, so check each before you order.
Notice: Research peptides are sold for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not FDA-approved, not for human or animal consumption, and this page is not medical advice.

What the FDA letter says
FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research sent the warning letter to Royal Peptides LLC of Boynton Beach, Florida, on August 24, 2026, and posted it on September 1. In summary:
- The finding: the products "are unapproved new drugs under section 505(a)" of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, based on claims on royal-peptides.com about their intended use.
- Why the research-use label didn't help: FDA pointed to the site selling bacteriostatic water alongside a peptide guide and calculator, which FDA said undercut the research-use claim.
- Products named: tirzepatide, semaglutide, retatrutide, SS-31 (elamipretide), PT-141, tesamorelin and BIMORELIN, a tesamorelin and ipamorelin blend.
- Next step: FDA asked for a response within 15 business days.
A warning letter isn't a shutdown order or a court action. It was one of five FDA letters to peptide sellers dated August 24, 2026, alongside NuScience Peptides, Peptide Partners, Peak Performance Peptides and TXP Innovations, dba Tex Peptides. A Sheppard Mullin summary (September 18, 2026) says the letters followed July 2026 website reviews. Royal Peptides' status in October 2026
- Still selling. On October 22, 2026, the homepage showed a "20% off all GLPs" banner, free shipping over $300, USA, Canada and EU fulfillment, an extra discount for crypto, and a warning about look-alike sites. Retatrutide, semaglutide and tirzepatide were featured.
- Labeling. The homepage carried research-use-only notices and a 21+ confirmation. We didn't see bacteriostatic water, a calculator or dosing content on the homepage, but we didn't check every page.
- Terms. Our Royal Peptides review (checked October 19, 2026) found Cash App and crypto payment only, all sales final, and no company address on the site.
Independent test record. Finnrick showed a 75% rating, rank #235 of 482, with 25 of 34 tests passed and the latest test dated August 25, 2026. By compound: tirzepatide 80% (11 tests), semaglutide 74% (8) and retatrutide 70% (15). Finnrick's notes call the retatrutide results volatile, citing purity misses and a severe short-fill, and say batch IDs were often missing.
What Royal customers should check
- Look-alike sites. Royal's own homepage warns about them. Type the address yourself rather than following ads or messages.
- Payment recourse. Royal takes Cash App and crypto. The FTC says crypto payments "typically are not reversible" (FTC). Keep order confirmations and messages.
- Your certificates. Royal's COA page names Janoshik, but we didn't see lot numbers beside the reports. Save any certificate you rely on.
- The replacement's paperwork. Look for a named lab, a lot-matched certificate you can confirm at that lab, and a published business identity. Our COA guide covers each field.

Others to compare
American Peptides offers a lot lookup and card payments; Licensed Peptides publishes a Florida company address and endotoxin reports; PSPeptides has the widest payment range, though its blog publishes human dosing guides, which we count against it.
If you bought GLP-class compounds from Royal
FDA's letter focused on GLP-1-class compounds, and so does Royal's current sale. Our retatrutide, tirzepatide and semaglutide vendor pages compare certificates for each. Several alternatives sell these under codes, which we treat as a labeling concern. Background: FDA peptide regulation in 2026.
Bottom line
Royal Peptides is still open, and its Finnrick record is stronger than most vendors'. The FDA letter, Cash App and crypto payment and an all-sales-final policy are the reasons to look elsewhere. Pick an alternative on what you can verify: a named lab, a lot-matched certificate and a published business.
