NuScience Peptides hasn't shut down: FDA sent it a warning letter dated August 24, 2026, and on October 29, 2026 its store was still selling 53 products, none of them the items the letter named. If you're looking elsewhere, Peptide Plugs (7.5) and NextGenPeps (8.8) document their testing most clearly of the vendors we review.
Notice: Research peptides are sold for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not FDA-approved, not for human or animal consumption, and this page is not medical advice.

What the FDA letter says
FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research sent the warning letter (reference 733652) to NuScience Peptides LLC of Cornelius, North Carolina, dated August 24, 2026 and posted September 1. In summary:
- The finding: the products are unapproved new drugs under section 505(a) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, based on a July 2026 review of the website.
- Why the label didn't help: FDA said the site's content showed intended drug uses, quoting product copy about "potential therapeutic applications in various conditions," so the "not intended for human or veterinary use" disclaimer didn't change the outcome.
- Bacteriostatic water: FDA treated it as a drug because it was sold to reconstitute the firm's peptides, and pointed to a peptide calculator offered alongside it.
- Products named: GLP-class tirzepatide, semaglutide and retatrutide products, survodutide, mazdutide, PT-141, tesamorelin, a tesamorelin/ipamorelin blend and bacteriostatic water.
- Next step: a written response within 15 business days.
A warning letter isn't a shutdown order or a court case. FDA sent letters to several peptide sellers on the same date, including Royal Peptides and Peptide Partners. Our peptide regulatory news tracker follows the rest.
NuScience's status in October 2026
- Still selling. On October 29, 2026, nusciencepeptides.com was live with research-use-only notices, same-day shipping before 12 PM EST and free U.S. shipping from $200. Its store listed 53 products.
- Named products gone from the store. Catalog searches for tesamorelin, PT-141, tirzepatide, retatrutide, survodutide, mazdutide and bacteriostatic water returned no products on October 29. A "Laboratory Sterile Water" item ($5.99) was listed. Ipamorelin and a CJC-1295/ipamorelin blend were still sold.
- Disclosure gaps. Our NuScience Peptides review (checked October 19-20, 2026) found about 45 COA PDFs on a lab-results page that names no lab, and no company name or address on the site.
Independent test record. Finnrick rated NuScience Peptides 61% on October 29, 2026, rank #417 of 489 vendors, with 19 of 49 classifiable tests passed and the latest test dated September 24, 2026. By compound: GHK-Cu 86% (2 tests), tirzepatide 74% (7), retatrutide 68% (8), ipamorelin 63% (2), semaglutide 62% (14), BPC-157 50% (2), melanotan II 47% (7) and CJC-1295 26% (3). Finnrick's summary notes repeated purity or fill misses on CJC-1295, melanotan II, ipamorelin and mazdutide.
What NuScience customers should check
- Your existing certificates. Save any COA you rely on; the lab page doesn't name the testing lab, so open each PDF to see who ran it.
- Product changes. If a product you ordered before is no longer listed, don't assume a replacement listing is the same material.
- The replacement's paperwork. Look for a named lab, a lot-matched certificate you can confirm at the lab, and a published business identity. Our COA guide covers each field.

Alternatives by use case
Lab-side COA verification: Peptide Plugs
Product pages give accession codes you can look up on Freedom Diagnostics' COA search, and it names Austin Research Products LLC as its business, which addresses NuScience's biggest gap: an unnamed lab. Its ipamorelin was $25 (5mg) and $40 (10mg) on October 29, 2026. Review · Visit Peptide Plugs
Lab named on every report: NextGenPeps
Its COA library names Janoshik or BioRegen on each dated entry. Accepts PayPal. Gaps: no lot numbers in the library, and GLP-class items sold under codes. Review · Visit NextGenPeps
Purity plus endotoxin per lot: Blank Peptides
Publishes a purity certificate and a separate endotoxin report for each current lot. NuScience's lab page didn't mention endotoxin testing. CHECKED takes 10% off (coupon). Gaps: young domain, members-only prices. Review · Visit Blank Peptides
Lowest first-order price: Ascension Peptides
Labs and batch numbers are listed on product pages; its ipamorelin 5mg page showed Kovera Labs (May 26, 2026) and MZ Biolabs (April 10, 2026) batches on October 29. AFFILIATE50OFF takes 50% off a first order (coupon). Gaps: no address, all sales final. Review · Visit Ascension Peptides
Full lot history, including rejects: Peptide Confidential
Keeps every tested lot public, including lots it rejected. Gaps: new, no legal entity, ships from Canada in Canadian dollars. Review · Visit Peptide Confidential
Others to compare
American Peptides offers a lot lookup; Licensed Peptides publishes a Florida company address and endotoxin reports; PSPeptides has the widest payment range, though its blog publishes human dosing guides, which we count against it.
If you bought specific compounds from NuScience
NuScience's catalog overlaps most with our BPC-157, ipamorelin and GHK-Cu vendor comparisons, which list certificates by compound. For the GLP-class products named in the letter, see retatrutide vendors.
Bottom line
NuScience Peptides is still open and has more independent test data than most vendors, but that data is weak (61%, 19 of 49 passed), and its own site names no lab or company. The FDA letter adds a regulatory reason to look elsewhere. Pick an alternative on what you can verify: a named lab, a lot-matched certificate and a published business.
