Science.bio closed permanently on January 27, 2026, and there's no authorized successor. Its website still shows a closure notice and a warning about impostors (science.bio). For research peptides, Peptide Plugs (8.1/10) and NextGenPeps (8.0) score highest of the eight vendors we review.
Notice: Research peptides are sold for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not FDA-approved, not for human or animal consumption, and this page is not medical advice.
What happened to Science.bio
Science.bio sold research peptides and nootropic compounds. On January 27, 2026 it told customers it would be "permanently closing today" (forum copy of the notice). Its site still says it has "made the decision to permanently close and discontinue the sale of research products." The notice warns about impostors claiming to be affiliated with it. Pepta Labs' tracker reported the site still offline on September 27, 2026.
Science.bio gave no reason. Its closure came about six weeks before Peptide Sciences shut down, during a run of FDA warning letters that our shutdown timeline lists with sources.
What Science.bio customers should look for next
If testing documentation is what you valued, compare replacements on these points:
| What to look for | Why it matters | Where to check |
|---|
| A named lab on every COA | "Third-party tested" with no lab name can't be checked | How to read a COA |
| A lot number that matches your vial | A certificate for a different batch proves nothing about yours | COA checklist |
| Confirmation from the lab itself | Guards against edited or recycled PDFs | Verifying a Janoshik report |
| Independent tests of bought samples | The vendor doesn't choose what gets tested | What is Finnrick |
| Net content, not just purity | Purity says nothing about how much peptide is in the vial | Purity vs net content |
Our vendor testing tracker shows how each of the eight vendors does on these points.
