Nine of the vendors we review list sermorelin for laboratory research, and Peptide Plugs documents its testing best: its product page shows a June 2026 Freedom Diagnostics test with a search code, purity and measured content, at the lowest price per mg we found. Ascension Peptides and Alpha Pro Peptides follow, with certificates tied to a named batch or lot. Sermorelin was once an approved drug (Geref), but the research-labeled vials below are not that product.
Facts checked October 16, 2026.
Notice: Research peptides are sold for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not FDA-approved, not for human or animal consumption, and this page is not medical advice.
Our criterion: a sermorelin-specific COA with a named lab and lot number beats a generic "third-party tested" claim. We don't test products; we check what each vendor publishes.
Regulatory status of sermorelin
- FDA: sermorelin acetate was marketed as Geref by EMD Serono, which discontinued it. In a Federal Register notice published March 4, 2013, FDA determined Geref was not withdrawn from sale for reasons of safety or effectiveness. That determination is about the discontinued drug. Research-labeled sermorelin from peptide vendors is not Geref and isn't an approved drug.
- WADA: the 2026 Prohibited List names sermorelin under S2.2.4, "growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) and its analogues," prohibited at all times (2026 list text).
- DEA: not on DEA's controlled substances list dated August 27, 2026.

Notes on the table:
- American Peptides: the product page lists one 5mg size at $60.00, with volume pricing down to $50.40 a vial at 10 or more. The certificate names a lot (SERMO5-0318) but not the lab or test date.
- NextGenPeps: the product page showed $78.00 for 10mg, with bulk pricing down to $66.30 at 20 vials. Its COA library lists a Janoshik test (June 19, 2026, 98.817%) and an older BioRegen test (July 17, 2025, 99.83%), without lot numbers.
- PSPeptides: the product page sells 10mg at $79.99 and links COA, heavy metals, endotoxin, sterility and fentanyl reports for batch NAD-0036062. The same page carries a "research dosage guide" with human-style dosing and timing, which conflicts with research-use-only labeling and counts against it in our method. Code CHECKED takes 10% off (PSPeptides coupon code).
- Blank Peptides: its homepage lists sermorelin at 10mg a vial, but prices and lot documents sit behind a free member sign-up, so we couldn't check either. Code CHECKED takes 10% off the order.
- Ascension Peptides: the product page lists two batches with named labs: Kovera Labs (June 14, 2026) and MZ Biolabs (February 13, 2026). It showed $72.00, down from $99.99, and $64.80 a vial at 10. Code AFFILIATE50OFF takes 50% off a first order.
- Peptide Plugs: the product page reports 99.13% purity and 11.04mg measured in a 10mg vial (+10.4%), with Freedom Diagnostics search code Pept2606040003. Volume pricing drops to $27 a vial at 10 or more.
- Swiss Chems: sells sermorelin in 2mg vials at $25.95, the highest price per mg here alongside Licensed Peptides. The page links a lab report but doesn't name the lab.
- Licensed Peptides: the product page offers 5mg and 10mg; the 5mg showed $68.99 with a 2-for-1 sale running. The linked report names Vanguard Laboratory and was uploaded in 2025, so it may not match the current batch. Code Affiliate5 takes 5% off.
- Alpha Pro Peptides: the product page shows lot AP-SERM-0426 (May 18, 2026: 99.44% purity, 11.72mg net content) and a "Buy 1 Get 1 Free Site Wide" banner. We didn't confirm the lab from the PDF.
- Peptide Confidential: no sermorelin product in its catalog on October 16, 2026.
What is sermorelin?
Sermorelin is a synthetic 29-amino-acid peptide matching the first 29 residues of growth hormone-releasing hormone, often written GHRH(1-29). Vendors list its molecular weight at about 3,358 g/mol; Ascension's page gives the formula C149H246N44O42S. It's studied in research on growth hormone regulation and pituitary function. For a related GHRH analog, see our tesamorelin vendor comparison.
Independent test data
Finnrick, which publishes results from samples customers buy and submit, lists 49 sermorelin tests across 14 vendors between April 2025 and September 2026: 21 passes, 27 fails and one incomplete. None of the vendors on this page appeared among the named vendors on October 16, 2026, and some rows were visible only to members. So every certificate above was commissioned by the vendor, which chooses the sample it sends. Weight lot matching and lab-side verification accordingly. How to check a sermorelin COA
- Match the lot. The lot or batch on the certificate should match your vial's label.
- Read the lab name on the PDF, then look the lab up. A certificate with no lab isn't third-party evidence.
- Check identity and content. Look for mass spectrometry confirming sermorelin's mass and a measured content close to the labeled mg.
- Verify with the lab where it offers a lookup, such as Freedom Diagnostics' search codes or Janoshik's verification.

Bottom line
On documentation, Peptide Plugs leads for sermorelin, with a lab-verifiable June 2026 test and the lowest price per mg. Ascension Peptides and Alpha Pro Peptides follow with batch- or lot-tied certificates. PSPeptides posts the widest set of reports, but its product page publishes dosing guidance, which we count against it. No vendor here has independent Finnrick data for sermorelin.
