Ascension Peptides scores higher than Swiss Chems on our transparency method (7.4 vs 7.2). It runs an 85-record COA library you can search by lot, names labs per batch on its product pages, and has no FDA warning letter on record. Swiss Chems has the longer history (since 2018, per its site) and the only Finnrick data of our eight vendors, but it received an FDA warning letter in December 2024 and only 4 of 10 Finnrick samples passed. Our code AFFILIATE50OFF takes 50% off a first Ascension order. Ascension is #4 and Swiss Chems #6 in our editors' order, which isn't sorted by score.

Notice: Research peptides are sold for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not FDA-approved, not for human or animal consumption, and this page is not medical advice. This comparison covers supplier transparency only, based on public documentation. We didn't purchase or test products.

Regulatory record: the biggest difference

FDA's letter to Swisschems said its semaglutide and retatrutide products were unapproved new drugs, and that its website and social media showed intended human use despite "research chemicals only" labeling. A store search on September 26, 2026 turned up none of those products. The letter stays on the record, so Swiss Chems gets the floor score (5.0) on this factor.

We found no FDA warning letter for Ascension Peptides, so it scores 10.0 here. See FDA peptide regulation in 2026.

COAs and labs

Ascension's COA library has 85 records you can filter by product, SKU, batch/lot, purity and date. The library itself doesn't name labs, but product pages now do. The BPC-157 10 mg page lists Kovera Labs (batch 12-05260628, July 10, 2026) and MZ Biolabs (batch 12-01260229, March 6, 2026). Project Biohacking had already traced its certificates to MZ Biolabs in Tucson, AZ.

Swiss Chems' test results page showed 60 entries, many dated September 2026, with batch codes in the file names. The page doesn't say which lab tested which batch; the FAQ says "principally Janoshik Analytical." Third-party reviews report misfiled capsule COAs (VialAudit) and possibly repeated COAs (PeptideDeck). We didn't verify those findings.

Ascension leads on COA publication (9.25 vs 8.25). Both scored 7.0 on lab traceability in our reviews. Our COA guide explains how to confirm a certificate with the lab.

Independent testing

This is Swiss Chems' one advantage, though the results are weak. Its Finnrick page shows 10 tests from April 2025 to April 2026, 4 of which passed. Ipamorelin rated 65%, BPC-157 52% and CJC-1295 24%. The most recent test passed.

Finnrick shows 0 tests for Ascension and says there aren't enough classifiable tests to rate it. No data scores 5.0; Swiss Chems' weak data scores 6.75. See what is Finnrick?

Labeling

Both use strict current wording and a 21+ requirement.

  • Ascension says products are "Not for Human consumption of any kind," but sells six items only under codes (C-10, R-10, R-30, S-5, T-10, T-30). In its August 2026 letter to Peptide Partners, FDA identified similar abbreviations as GLP-1-class drugs.
  • Swiss Chems' FAQ says it can't discuss "use, dosing, administration, or outcomes," but FDA found its past marketing showed intended human use. It also sells capsule forms and SARMs.

Swiss Chems scores slightly higher on current labeling (8.0 vs 7.5). We cover GLP-1-class products for research use only, with no dosing content.

Shipping, payment and returns

  • Ascension ships within the US only, by UPS Ground, for a flat $15. Orders before 2 PM Central ship within 24 hours (policy). Its FAQ lists Visa, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and ACH, though its terms mention Visa or Mastercard. All sales are final.
  • Swiss Chems offers same-day dispatch on US orders paid before 12pm EST, FedEx 2-Day and Overnight options, and international shipping. If customs seizes a package, it offers only a 30% discount on a future order. It takes Mastercard, ACH, Zelle and crypto. Sealed items can be returned within 7 business days, with a 15% restocking fee and a $25 processing fee.

  • If you need international shipping, overnight delivery or some independent test history, Swiss Chems is the only option of the two. Weigh the FDA letter and the 4-of-10 Finnrick result. Visit Swiss Chems.
