Alpha Pro Peptides scores higher than Swiss Chems on our transparency method (7.5 vs 7.2). Its testing page lists a lot ID, date, purity and measured net content for every certificate, and it has no FDA warning letter on record. Swiss Chems has the longer history (since 2018, per its site) and the only independent Finnrick data of our eight vendors, but it received an FDA warning letter in December 2024 and only 4 of 10 Finnrick samples passed. Swiss Chems is #6 and Alpha Pro #8 in our editors' order, which isn't sorted by score.

Notice: Both vendors sell products for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not FDA-approved and not for human or animal consumption. This comparison covers supplier transparency only, based on public documentation. We didn't purchase or test products.

Regulatory record: the biggest difference

FDA's letter to Swisschems said its semaglutide and retatrutide products were unapproved new drugs, and that its website and social media showed intended human use despite "research chemicals only" labeling. A store search on September 26, 2026 turned up none of those products, which suggests they were removed. The letter stays on the record, so Swiss Chems gets the floor score (5.0) on this factor.

We found no FDA warning letter for Alpha Pro Peptides. It scores 10.0 here. For context, see FDA peptide regulation in 2026.

COAs and labs

Alpha Pro Peptides' testing page is a table with one row per certificate: product, lot ID, report date, purity and measured net content. The certificate we opened was issued by Freedom Diagnostics. A PeptideBenchmark review, which discloses an affiliate relationship with Alpha Pro, matched 35 reports to lab-hosted copies. It also found a 50mg product page reusing a 30mg certificate, and no sterility or endotoxin reports. The site itself doesn't name the lab.

Swiss Chems' test results page showed 60 entries, many dated September 2026, with batch codes in the file names. The page doesn't say which lab tested which batch. The FAQ says "principally Janoshik Analytical." Third-party reviews report misfiled capsule COAs (VialAudit) and possibly repeated COAs (PeptideDeck). We didn't verify those findings.

Alpha Pro leads on COA publication (8.75 vs 8.25) and lab traceability (8.25 vs 7.0). Our COA guide explains how to check a certificate with the lab.

Independent testing

This is Swiss Chems' one clear advantage, though the results are weak. Its Finnrick page shows 10 tests from April 2025 to April 2026, 4 of which passed. Ipamorelin rated 65%, BPC-157 52% and CJC-1295 24%, with repeated purity misses on CJC-1295. The most recent test passed.

We found no Finnrick profile for Alpha Pro Peptides. No data scores 5.0; Swiss Chems' weak data scores 6.75. See Janoshik vs Finnrick.

Labeling

Both have strict current terms and a 21+ requirement. Alpha Pro also asks buyers to attest to a research affiliation, and Swiss Chems' FAQ says it can't discuss "use, dosing, administration, or outcomes."

  • Alpha Pro Peptides sells GLP-1-class products under codes (GLP-1, GLP-2, GLP-3), plus capsules, sprays and topical serums. Its reconstitution calculator uses insulin-syringe units.
  • Swiss Chems had its past marketing cited by FDA, and sells capsule forms and SARMs.

Swiss Chems scores better on current labeling (8.0 vs 7.0), but its regulatory score reflects the FDA finding. We cover GLP-1-class products for research use only, with no dosing content.

Business details, shipping and payment

Neither publishes a street address or legal entity on its site. Both scored 7.0 on business transparency.

  • Alpha Pro processes orders in 24-72 business hours and ships by USPS, FedEx or UPS within the US only, free over $199. It takes major cards except Mastercard, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay. There are no returns.
  • Swiss Chems offers same-day dispatch on US orders paid before 12pm EST and ships internationally. If customs seizes a package, it offers only a 30% discount on a future order. It takes Mastercard (billed as "OPTIMUS DATA," per its FAQ), ACH, Zelle and crypto. Sealed items can be returned within 7 business days, with a 15% restocking fee and a $25 processing fee.

Price and offers

Neither has a PeptideChecked code. Alpha Pro listed BPC-157 at $39.99 (5mg) and ran a "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" promotion when we checked (shop). Swiss Chems offers a 10% sign-up discount. See peptide coupon codes.

Which should you choose?

  • If you want lot-level COAs and a clean regulatory record, Alpha Pro Peptides scores higher. Accept that it's new and has no independent data. Visit Alpha Pro Peptides.
  • If you need international shipping or want a vendor with some independent test history, Swiss Chems is the only option of the two. Weigh the FDA letter and the 4-of-10 Finnrick result. Visit Swiss Chems.

Either way, match your lot or batch code to a dated report and confirm it with the lab. For lab-handling unit math, use our reconstitution calculator.
