VIP Peptide Vendors (2026): Where to Buy Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide for Research and Who Documents the Testing

Five of the ten vendors we rate list VIP, vasoactive intestinal peptide, not a 'VIP' membership tier. We compared vial sizes, price per mg and whether each posts a certificate that names the lab and the lot.

Five of the ten vendors we rate list VIP (vasoactive intestinal peptide), and Blank Peptides and Peptide Plugs document their testing best: Blank Peptides shows a Horizon Analytical lot with a report number you can verify on the lab's site, and Peptide Plugs shows a Freedom Diagnostics lot with measured content. Ascension Peptides has the lowest price per mg among them at $5.80. This page covers the peptide only, not the "VIP" membership and pricing tiers that share the name on many vendor sites.

Notice: Research peptides are sold for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not FDA-approved, not for human or animal consumption, and this page is not medical advice.

Our criterion: a VIP-specific COA with a named lab and lot number beats a generic "third-party tested" claim. We don't test products; we check what each vendor publishes.

Regulatory status of VIP

  • FDA: VIP isn't approved in the US. Its developer sought emergency use authorization for synthetic VIP (aviptadil) in 2020-21, and we found no record that one was granted. FDA's 503A categories list updated May 14, 2026 places vasoactive intestinal peptide in Category 1, "under evaluation." It isn't on the Category 2 page.
  • Advisory votes and enforcement: we found no Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee vote on VIP in 2025 or 2026, and no FDA warning letter naming it, as of October 20, 2026.
  • WADA: the 2026 Prohibited List doesn't name VIP (2026 list text). S0 covers substances "with no current approval by any governmental regulatory health authority for human therapeutic use," and aviptadil has some approvals outside the US, so whether S0 applies isn't settled.
  • DEA: we found no federal scheduling action for VIP as of October 20, 2026 (see DEA's controlled substances list, August 2026 edition).

American Peptides, Peptide Confidential, Swiss Chems, Licensed Peptides and Alpha Pro Peptides didn't list VIP on October 20, 2026.

Notes on the table:

  • NextGenPeps: the product page is titled "VIP Peptide (Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide)" and offers volume pricing down to $84.15 a vial at 20 vials. Its COA library links a VIP certificate, but the lab, date and lot weren't in the text we captured. It's the highest $/mg in this table.
  • PSPeptides: the product page links a September certificate plus heavy metals, endotoxin, sterility and fentanyl reports for the same batch. The page carries an "Inflammation & CIRS" tag and a "Dosage protocol" link, which we count against it.
  • Blank Peptides: the product page lists 3325.8 g/mol and lot 2117980 at 99.21%, with identity, purity, endotoxin and appearance marked passed (certificate). Report number 1021176 can be checked on Horizon Analytical's site.
  • Ascension Peptides: the product page lists a Kovera Labs batch (PDF) and an MZ Biolabs batch 37-06250728 tested September 15, 2025. No purity is shown on the page. The $58 price is marked down from $149.99.
  • Peptide Plugs: the product page reports 99.75% purity and 9.37 mg measured, 6.3% under the 10 mg label (certificate). Its VIP safety panel has three tests (identity, fentanyl screen, appearance), fewer than the seven it shows for some other peptides.

Cheapest VIP across all 43 vendors we track

As of October 20, 2026, 43 vendors in our VIP price index list it (48 listings counting multi-vial kits). Per-mg figures below use in-stock single vials only.

  • Cheapest per mg overall: Bulk Peptide Supply, 10 mg for $32.50 ($3.25/mg), well below every other listing.
  • Cheapest among vendors that pass our checks (no red flags, COAs published, lot-matched or named lab; 25 vendors): Glacier Aminos, 10 mg for $59.39 ($5.94/mg), then Peptide Warehouse, Peptide Plugs, Modern Aminos and Profound Aminos at about $6.00/mg.
  • Median: $7.87/mg, with a range of $3.25 to $14.99. Ascension ($5.80/mg), Peptide Plugs ($6.00/mg) and PSPeptides ($7.50/mg) are below the median.
  • Sizes: 10 mg is the usual vial (29 listings), then 5 mg (14); 6, 7.5 and 11.27 mg vials also appear.
  • Red flags: NuScience Peptides ($6.50/mg) and Peptide Partners list VIP and received FDA warning letters dated August 24, 2026. Peptide Pros and Umbrella Labs also sell SARMs.

What is VIP?

Vasoactive intestinal peptide is a 28-amino-acid neuropeptide in the secretin/glucagon family, first isolated from porcine intestine in 1970. It acts on VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors and is studied in vasodilation, smooth-muscle, circadian and immune signalling and neuroprotection models (review). Trials of synthetic VIP (aviptadil) in critical COVID-19 respiratory failure gave mixed or negative results (RCT; editorial).

How to check a VIP COA

  1. Make sure it's the peptide. On vendor sites, "VIP" often means a membership tier or price level. Check that the certificate names vasoactive intestinal peptide (or polypeptide, the same molecule), not PACAP, a related but different peptide.
  2. Check identity by mass. VIP's 28 residues put it near 3326 g/mol (Blank Peptides lists 3325.8). A lighter mass suggests a fragment or a different peptide.
  3. Match the lot and read the lab name on each PDF. Blank Peptides and Peptide Plugs give report or accession codes you can look up at the lab.
  4. Compare measured content to the label. Peptide Plugs' VIP lot measured 9.37 mg against a 10 mg label, which changes concentration math and the effective price per mg.

Independent test data

Finnrick's VIP page showed no published tests on October 20, 2026, with four vendors listed. Every certificate above was commissioned by the vendor, which chooses the sample it sends. More on community testing: what is Finnrick?

Bottom line

For VIP, Blank Peptides has the most checkable record, with a named lab, lot, lookup code and endotoxin result, at $7.90/mg. Peptide Plugs names its lab and lot at $6.00/mg, though its VIP lot measured under label and its panel is short. Ascension is the cheapest per mg and names labs but shows no purity on the page. PSPeptides tags the product for a human condition and links a dosage protocol, and NextGenPeps charges the most. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is VIP peptide legal?

Vasoactive intestinal peptide isn't a DEA-controlled substance as far as we could find, and it isn't FDA-approved in the US. FDA treats research-labeled peptides as unapproved new drugs when a seller's marketing shows they're meant for people.

Is VIP FDA approved?

No. Synthetic VIP (aviptadil) isn't approved in the US. FDA's 503A list updated May 14, 2026 places vasoactive intestinal peptide in Category 1, substances still under evaluation for pharmacy compounding.

Which vendor documents VIP testing best?

Blank Peptides and Peptide Plugs, as of October 20, 2026. Blank Peptides shows a Horizon Analytical lot with a report number you can look up, and Peptide Plugs shows a Freedom Diagnostics lot with measured content.

Is VIP banned in sport?

WADA's 2026 Prohibited List doesn't name VIP. Whether its S0 section applies is unclear, because synthetic VIP has some approvals outside the US, so athletes should ask their anti-doping organization.

Why do searches for VIP peptide show membership deals?

Many vendors use 'VIP' for loyalty tiers, clubs and pricing. This page covers only vasoactive intestinal peptide, a 28-amino-acid research peptide.
