Chromate is a small New Hampshire testing lab, at chromate.org, that tests research peptides by HPLC for $180 to $420 per compound and posts results to a public Verify portal; it doesn't claim ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation as of October 21, 2026. It's also one of Finnrick's partner labs. Two vendors in our directory cite it.
Notice: Research peptides are sold for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not FDA-approved, not for human or animal consumption, and this page is not medical advice. It contains no dosing or use guidance.
Not to be confused with chromate the chemical ion, or chromate test kits for water. This page is about the lab.

Who runs Chromate
Chromate's site says little about its operators. The about page is signed "The Chromate Team" and says it's "committed to providing reliable analytical services at affordable prices." It says supplement testing helps fund "a public testing initiative." The homepage says chemists were "Trained in the USA, Canada, Germany, and Singapore" and that "Our lab is based within the USA."
The contact page lists Hudson, NH 03051 with no street address and the phone as "Offline." The site doesn't name a legal entity, and we couldn't confirm one from a state record, so we've left it out. Finnrick's Chromate page also lists Hudson, NH.
What it tests
According to the services page, "All tests are qualitative and quantitative HPLC analyses unless otherwise specified." Categories include research peptides, research chemicals, SARMs and supplements.
Finnrick's lab page adds detail from Chromate's methodology answers: HPLC and LC-MS instruments, quantitation by UV against an external reference standard, MS for characterization, purity and quantity determined separately, and a stated typical margin of error of 2-5% for most peptides.
Microbiology:
- Sterility: aerobic and anaerobic microbes and yeast by membrane filtration per USP <71>.
- Endotoxin: kinetic chromogenic LAL test, reported in endotoxin units (EU).

Payment options include card, CashApp, Venmo, Bitcoin, Apple Pay and Google Pay. The shipping address is sent after payment. The site gives no analysis turnaround, saying only that results are posted "promptly."
Accreditation
Chromate makes no ISO/IEC 17025 claim and names no accrediting body or certificate number. Its homepage cites "Literature-based methodology, professional-grade equipment." We couldn't find a published accreditation certificate for it as of October 21, 2026. You can check the A2LA, ANAB and PJLA directories.
Chromate and Finnrick
Finnrick's partner lab list showed 681 published Chromate tests as of October 21, 2026, and a methodology questionnaire from the lab. Finnrick says it checks partner labs against each other using overlapping results and anchor samples. See what is Finnrick.
How to verify a Chromate report
- Note the sample name, batch and any report ID on the COA.
- Open chromate.org and use the Verify portal at the top of the page. The homepage says results "will promptly be made available from the Verify portal." It needs JavaScript enabled.
- Compare compound, batch, date and results against the vendor's copy.
- Finnrick's page says Chromate's portal supports QR-code verification, so scan any QR code on the report.
Our COA checklist covers the remaining checks.
Vendors in our directory that cite Chromate
From our vendor data as of October 21, 2026. "Lot-matched" and "Endotoxin" describe each vendor's COA program overall, not only its Chromate reports.
| Vendor | Lot-matched COAs | Endotoxin data | COA page | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Peptide Partners | Not confirmed | Yes | Certifications | FDA warning letter dated August 24, 2026 (health claims, reconstitution supplies) |
| Profound Aminos | Yes | Not confirmed | Test results | - |
Peptide Partners lists Chromate purity reports for lots including tesamorelin TES2624 and retatrutide RT2623, plus endotoxin reports. On October 21, 2026, the public text of Profound Aminos' test-results page didn't name a lab, so check each certificate's header.
What a Chromate COA does and doesn't prove
What it can show:
- The HPLC purity and quantity of the sample Chromate received.
- That the result is on Chromate's own record, if the Verify portal returns it.
What it can't show:
- That your vial matches. Only a matching batch or lot number ties a report to your vial.
- Who chose the sample. Vendor-sent samples aren't the same as customer-bought or blind samples.
- Mass-spec identity, unless the report shows MS data. HPLC alone has limits (HPLC purity explained).
- Sterility or endotoxin, unless those separate tests appear. See our endotoxin guide.
- Accredited quality, since Chromate doesn't claim accreditation.
